Aviara home prices have never been inexpensive, but in the rear view mirror they were once a bargain.
Aviara, located in south coastal Carlsbad, was and still is a premier planned community (just west of La Costa Resort) with current home prices starting in the $600’s and topping out at over $2 million. Of course, many of these homes have been updated at least once since 1998, but at that time they were truly well-appointed.
Below are Aviara home prices from builders in 1998. Included are some neighborhoods like Poinsettia Heights, that are just outside Aviara borders but are considered “part of the neighborhood.” Of course, the buildout in Aviara continued for several years after but this provides a fun peek at pricing history:
