Buyer demand is still high and we are having difficulty finding enough inventory to meet demand. Part of the problem relates to season, with many assuming the best time to sell would be in the spring and summer. What many fail to realize is that our coastal San Diego real estate market is one that has strong year-round demand. I fear too many sellers are waiting until spring to put their home on the market, assuming that’s when buyers will be shopping.
That’s just not the case. Many qualified buyers are looking today–and are willing to pay a premium price if they find the home and neighborhood they are seeking . They are also aware that low interest rates may not be around forever and they also see a real estate market that is stabilizing.
